Kids & the Thrills of Summer

The other day, we looked down and realized that Silas had shackled himself with his baby rings. Poor little jailbird!
Maranatha absolutely loves her new summery skirt & sandals (Thanks, Meos!).
Ethan's riding without training wheels now!
So, in light of Ethan's new skills, Baxter came up with his own new way of riding bikes. :) Ever the little comedian!
I (Jessica) took the kids out for a picnic last night while Doug had a language lesson, and Ethan climbed a tree for the first time all by himself. Baxter was a great "partner", keeping him well-armed with stick "rifles" and such.
They had a blast exploring and running around. We're so grateful for a large scale forest/park near here, since we're without a backyard!And Maranatha LOVED finding green berries...
The kids are all growing like weeds, enjoying the thrills of summer!

I sure do see Baxter in Silas in that first picture. Ethan is such a great big brother. Silas might have to learn some "Houdini" skills if he shackles himself again! ha! Poor little angel. I love Maranatha's fashion show. And leave it to Baxter to figure out a new and fun way to make the bike riding work for him! What fun for Ethan to be able to ride his bike and climb a tree!
