The Man, The Sash, and The Wardrobe

We have seen movers here do incredible things moving extremely heavy things up through the teeny staircases up to our 6th floor apartment. We recently bought a wardrobe (they don't have closets here), and it just arrived. So I thought I'd take the opportunity to show you how they do it. ONE man loads the heavy thing up on his back (they did this with our fridge, dressers, bookshelves, heavy couch, etc. when we first moved in), and carries it up the whole way by himself. These are little Chinese men! It's amazing! Here, you can see him carrying the entire wardrobe on his back, holding onto the sash they tied around it to give him a place to hold. After I took his picture and showed it to the movers, they were so excited and laughing together that the other guy (who had been just coaching him and encouraging him along the way) turned into a comedian and lifted up these "heavy" (ahem, extremely lightweight) tables and put an agonizing look on his face, and waited for me to pull the camera back out and take his picture.
So I obliged him:
I'm so thankful they have figured out how to do this or else we'd have no furniture!

I guess Doug is glad to have delivery men rather than having to try to figure out that trick. Too funny!
