Overseas living...

So much of the time, life overseas requires patience, persistence, and a longsuffering sense of humor. Click here, and go to the entry entitled "The Toilet Seat Follies" to read one of the best stories we've heard that gives an excellent perspective on living in a different country & culture, and how a molehill can easily become a mountain here! Our friend Matt has a way with words!

Now that we're officially expatriates (in the UK), we can only imagine facing these issues in a country where English isn't the primary language! But every day is always a new adventure to look forward to.

Fortunately all the toilets are pretty much the same, but the English must be a country of bathers instead of people who like showers. Who would have thought one of the key deciding factors on a house to "let" would be if it had a shower. : )

Sorry about that. I got word from my friends a week or so ago that they're re-configuring their website. I'll have to check this occasionally to see if it's back up. Again, sorry for that- hopefully it will be back up soon!
