Laugh, and the World Laughs With You...

Two thoughts about laughter:

1) Maranatha's smiles have become infectious- I can't see her huge grins without almost being brought to tears... she just looks so overjoyed and delighted! It's contagious!

2) We have some friends here that are doing some quite necessary remodeling on their apartment before they move in. For example, their electricity couldn't even support a small fridge. Anyway, they've been doing this now for several weeks and the end is still not in sight. Mind you, they're doing this in 2-3 different languages each day, because of the different languages spoken here in this area. It's mind-boggling how much they have to try to communicate with hand gestures and broken, remedial words. The other day, we were all talking about how much they've been laughing lately, and I think it's just the human response to difficulties at this level: you're either laughing or crying- so you might as well laugh!
Here's a great picture I got just now of Maranatha in an all out crazy smile- so delighted she pulls her hands up to her mouth! How cute is that???

Gran Bren joins in! She seems to be extra smart to be smiling and laughing so early!

Of course all of my children and grandchildren are smart!
